Volunteer

Volunteers play an important role in helping Harmony Grove Cemetery maintain its historic landscape and support our mission as an active cemetery. Whether you can spare a few hours or want to get involved over the long term, we invite anyone who enjoys history, gardening, preservation, and community service to join us.

Volunteer opportunities may include cleaning gravestones using approved techniques, helping with public programs and events, and taking part in tree and landscaping projects that support our long-term care goals. Some projects are suitable for individuals, while others work best for groups, students, or community organizations. We provide training and guidance for tasks that need special skills.

If you're interested in volunteering, we would love to hear from you to discuss opportunities that fit your interests and schedule.

Support

For more than 185 years, Harmony Grove Cemetery has been a place for remembering, reflecting, and appreciating history and beauty. As a 501(c)(13) nonprofit organization, we work hard to maintain this unique landscape. We care for its historic monuments, trees, and gardens. We also provide supportive services to families now and for years ahead.

While burial and cremation services cover our daily needs, donations allow us to take on projects that go beyond regular maintenance. Contributions enable us to restore historic structures and monuments, enhance the landscape, expand our tree collection, support educational programs, and ensure long-term care of this special site. Every donation, no matter how small, helps keep Harmony Grove a beautiful and meaningful place for future generations.

Your support can help with historic preservation projects, tree planting and landscape care, monument restoration, educational programs, and community events, as well as maintaining Harmony Grove's historic character. Thank you for helping to preserve Harmony Grove Cemetery for future generations.
